Our Story

Ariansaga started in a small workshop in Purmerend, long before it became a website. The business behind it, registered under the name Fulse Textiel, was founded back in February 2006 by Nazife and Hüseyin Akyüz, a husband and wife team who had been working with fabric and clothing for most of their lives. What began as a modest operation on Plantsoenstraat, making and repairing outerwear, slowly grew into something both of them could be genuinely proud of.

Nazife had always had an eye for garments that lasted, coats especially. She used to say that a good coat should outlive a few winters, not just look nice in a shop window for a season. Hüseyin, who handled much of the practical side of the business, spent years learning the finer details of construction and repair, the kind of knowledge that only comes from years of taking coats apart and putting them back together properly.

For a long time, the work stayed close to home. Alterations, repairs, the occasional custom piece for someone in the neighbourhood who wanted something made to fit. Over time, word spread, and the small workshop took on more, eventually including care and cleaning services for textiles as well, so that people could bring garments back to life rather than replace them.

Ariansaga is the next step in that same story, bringing decades of hands on experience with coats and outerwear to people well beyond Purmerend. Every coat we offer reflects the values Nazife and Hüseyin built the business on: solid construction, honest materials, and a genuine respect for craftsmanship. We are not interested in trends that fade after one season. We care about coats that keep their shape, keep you warm, and earn their place in your wardrobe year after year.

We are still a small team at heart, and that has not changed even as we have grown. Every order is treated with the same attention that went into that very first workshop on Plantsoenstraat. When you buy a coat from Ariansaga, you are getting more than a product. You are getting the result of nearly two decades of learning what actually makes a coat worth wearing.
